Fall Beauty Transition: Revamp Your Skincare and Makeup for the Cozy Season

Hi Bellas,

As we say goodbye to the sun-kissed days of summer and hello to the cozy vibes of fall, it's time to switch up more than just your wardrobe. Yep, I'm talking about your skincare and makeup game! The cooler temps and drier air can throw a bit of a curveball at your skin and makeup, but don't worry, I've got you covered. Let's dive into how to make your beauty routine fall-ready and fabulous.

Revamp Your Skincare Routine

First things first, with the chillier weather, our skin can get a bit thirsty. So, let's give it some extra love, okay? Swap out those lightweight moisturizers for something a bit richer. Look for goodies like hyaluronic acid and ceramides to keep that moisture locked in tight. And remember, exfoliation is your bestie right now. Gently buff away those dead skin cells to keep your skin smooth and glowy. Oh, and SPF isn't just for summer, so keep slathering that on!  One of my favorite exfoliators is the Paula's Choice Exfoliate - it's great for turning over your skin but keeping you hydrated at the same time.

Warm Up Your Color Palette

Fall is all about those rich, cozy colors. Think burnt sienna, deep plum, and rustic browns. These shades are perfect for creating everything from a quick everyday look to something more glam. A lot of eyeshadow palettes craft these perfect combos for you - my go to recommendation for clients are the Tarte Eyeshadow Palettes.

Bold Lips Take Center Stage

Ready to make a statement? Bold lips are back, baby! Deep burgundy, berry, or classic red are all the rage. Pair those lips with a softer eye look to keep it chic and balanced. You're going to look stunning!  If you're a little nervous about a bold lip, try doing a tinted balm or gloss instead.

Achieve a Dewy Complexion

Even though fall is cooler, who says we can't keep that dewy glow going? Start with a hydrating primer, then layer on a luminous foundation or tinted moisturizer. Cream blushes and highlighters will give you that natural, radiant finish we all love.

My go to affordable product to bring glow to my skin is the ELF Halo Glow - such a great product that you can wear alone, under foundation or top for a dewy finish.

  1. Enhance Makeup Longevity

Less oil means your makeup can last longer, so take advantage! Use a hydrating primer that suits your skin type to keep everything in place. A good setting spray or translucent powder can be your BFF for those extra-long days.  I love the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray for all skin types - think of it like hair spray for your face.

  1. Experiment with Texture and Layers

Fall is a perfect time to play with textures. Mix matte and shimmer eyeshadows for a bit of drama, or layer a cream blush under a powder one for lasting color. It's all about adding depth and having fun with your look!  Plus this is the best way to make your makeup last and not feel cakey.

By giving your skincare and makeup a little fall upgrade, you'll not only protect your skin from the seasonal shifts but also stay on top of those trending looks. Embrace the warm, colorful vibes of autumn and let your natural beauty shine, my friend! Happy transitioning! 🍂💄
