Packing Tips for Traveling to Disney with a Toddler/Baby

Hi Guys,

I'm back with another packing tips video!  I took my 16 month old to her first Disney theme park.  I think I have some helpful tips for what to pack for yourself and your young one.  Check it out!

Family Travel Tips

  • Kids under 3 are free
  • You can bring food and drinks into the park as long as it's not in a glass container, it doesn't need to be heat up, and you can't have disposable straws
  • Buy your Disney clothing and gear ahead of time.  I found my baby's outfit at Walmart and purchased mine at the Navy Exchange.
  • The Disney fast pass let's you pick 3 rides to go on per park per day.  You pick the rides based on availability on the app and show up in the designated waiting window.
  • There's a family area with wipes, diapers and other supplies in case you need it.
  • Great rides for little ones - Kilimanjaro Safari, Na'vi River Ride, Festival of the Lion King.  I didn't get to see the Little Nemo show, but I think it would have been a good one.  We also got to see the River Light Show at night and that was pretty neat - we didn't have a seat we just saw it from a distance.

Packing List
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Food and Drink in a cooler with ice pack
  • Baby essentials - diapers, wipes, change of clothes, etc.
  • Hand sanitizer/wet ones
  • Cross body bag/lightweight backpack
  • Cards/Cash
  • Tickets
  • Small rain jacket/foldable for evening or inclement weather
  • Umbrella based on weather

Baby Travel Product Recommendations
Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller in Black - perfect for little ones who can't walk far and great for hanging your bags on.  It's super affordable and easy to fold up on the trams and trains.

Skip Hop Insulated Baby Bottle Cooler - hooks easily onto your backpack or stroller and keeps baby bottles cold.

Collapsible Reusable Straw and Container - 2 pack - Love using these for baby and me.  You also can't have disposable plastic straws at Disney.

Baby Hip Carrier - You often have to park your stroller for rides.  This is great for carrying babies through the lines.

Hope this was helpful.  Feel free to leave your Disney packing and park tips below!
