I'm back with another makeover. I recently made over Lauren for some professional head shots. She's an actor, and was updating her book with new images. For head shots, you want clean, natural makeup with a little bit of definition. Check it out!
Lauren was a new client and I asked her preferences for colors as well as any makeup application styles she liked and disliked. This helped me make her up quickly in a style she felt comfortable with. For example, she only likes liner applied to the outer half of her eye. I did so, applying a brown pencil liner and also smudging it out to make it a bit softer.
Make sure you also pay attention to your client's outfit and color choices. You don't want any colors to clash. In this case, she was rocking a neutral eye and a soft coral lip that complimented her mustard top nicely.
While keeping the makeup natural, I was able to add a few individual short lashes to the outer half of her eye to give her naturally downturned eyes some life. Also, don't be afraid of putting a little more blush to add a healthy flush of color that is often washed down a little bit with flash.
