Who's ready for more lipstick reviews? I recently tested out the new'est from L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche which is a collection featuring some of the most iconic women of today. The range was designed to offer a pink shade for every woman, every skin tone. Check it out!
First off, I love that the lipstick tubes have each spokewoman's signature in gold on it, how cute and personal! I really do love the diversity of pink shades offered in this collection. Considering that the 6 women represented on this collection are so diverse themselves in their ages, races and careers.
Here's a breakdown of the shades in my words:
Julianne's Pink 701 - Sheer, soft pale pink. Easy, daytime shade to wear to add a nude pink wash to your lips.
Doutzen's Pink 707 - Satin, blue based hot pink. A very fun shade to perk up a look, yet the medium pigmentation makes it more wearable so you don't feel too over the top.
Liya's Pink 709 - Red based magenta tone. A bit deeper than Doutzen's Pink, this would give a nice berry stain to your lips.
Eva's Pink 702 - Pinky mauve shade. This is a classic shade that would look great on everyone.
Jennifer's Pink 705 - Deep, berry shade, definitely the darkest pink of the group. Great transition to fall shade.
Blake's Pink 711 - Coral, hot pink shade. Great for warming up the lips with a fun, orangey pop of color.
I did find that most of them have a similar luster finish. They are buildable however, but when you do say they can get a bit slippery on the lips. I recommend wearing some of the deeper shades with a lip liner to get the full impact of color.
I will say that it does have that old lady lipstick scent which I don't love, but I can get over it. I think that this line really is built for the everyday women...the colors are easy to wear for day and night. As a makeup artist, I think I prefer a different formula for me but I'd totally recommend this for the everyday woman who wants a fun, wearable pop of pink on their pout.
These lipsticks retail for $8.99 at the beauty aisle of your local retailer. Stay tuned for more reviews from L'Oreal coming soon!
