Review: CoverFX Illuminating Primer

Hi Bellas,

It's about time I review the Cover FX Illuminating Primer.  I've had it for about a month now and it's the primer I've been using in nearly every makeup look I've been wearing.  If you're a fan of dewy, glowing skin you gotta check this out!

CoverFX already has a range of primers with different uses:  Mattifying, Sun Protection, Blemish Treatment, just to name a few.  They recently developed an Illuminating Primer which I'm so excited about.  I love to rock a glowy complexion.

Not only does this product provide instant shimmer, but overtime it helps to brighten a dull complexion.  As you can see by my swatch, the product comes out in a pearly white color but blends off to show light reflecting particles.  It's actually pretty subtle, you definitely won't end up looking like a disco ball.  

I wear mine before applying foundation, but you can also mix it in with your foundations to cut out a step and add a glow to an otherwise matte product.  I also find that this product really moisturizes my dry winter skin.  It contains an ingredient called Hylasome EG10 to hydrate the skin.  I love that over time it will help brighten your complexion - it also contains Gatuline® Radiance Illuminate and Refine, a natural, preservative-free scientific solution for skin dullness.

I used it with two different formula foundations but I still get a dewy effect.

This product is great because it's not just a liquid illuminator - it's also a primer.  I like that it's subtle and that it also really hydrates and smooths out my skin.  I definitely think it's easier to have products like this to transform your skin then a variety of different makeup bases.
