Hi Bellas,
I recently did wedding makeup for a Chinese Tea Ceremony. We went for a neutral glam look. This is part one as I went back and did a more dramatic look for her Western ceremony. Check it out!
It was interesting, because during our trial the bride wanted a super natural look. She wears zero makeup on a regular basis. However, on the day of the Chinese Tea Ceremony, I come to find out that her mom used to be Cosmetologist in the 80s. She wanted me to make the makeup more dramatic including contouring her nose, ha!
So I did just that...but I still kept it neutral and daytime appropriate. I used many Stila Shadows which I had depotted into a custom Z Palette.
On her eyes I used soft creams, peaches and champagnes. I made sure to really blend well to give a soft look to the makeup. It's really important to blend far enough upShe's also wearing a pair of 747xs lashes - I don't typically use this style but she wanted something comfortable and these are super natural.
My bride actually struggles with her skin. She had some textural issues and scarring. During the trial, I found Makeup For Ever HD Foundation to work best for her. I love that you can build this foundation but it still looks natural.
I finished off with MAC Cream O Spice Lip Liner which is close to her actual lip color, and topped with Graftobian SuperSeal Intense Shine Clear Gloss.
Hope you guys enjoyed. Stay tuned for part 2!
