Hi Bellas,
Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share a review and look from one of the hottest new makeup releases out there - Sugarpill's Cold Chemistry Palette. These shades hold true to Sugarpill's super pigmented philosophy but they have a bit of a fun twist for Fall. Check it out!
I love the slim, sleek palette with a built in mirror. Talk about gorgeous!
Up close look at the shades:
1) Soot and Stars - This is a sparkly charcoal gray that is awesome for smoking out the eye with a pop of shimmer.
2) Diamond Eyes - Super shimmering pearl with a pop of irridenscent glitter. Great for popping on top of color to give a dazzling effect or to highlight the tear duct on browbone.
3) Elemental Chaos - A neutral violet with tons of purple shimmer. It's not super bright but still got a nice amount of impact.
4) Subterranean - A deep, forest shimmering green. What a great autumn shade.
In general, these colors are highly pigmented and pack a lot of color. They all have shimmer which is a departure from Sugarpill's super matte, bright colors.
These swatches are dry without a base. I love the metallic finish. The shadows can be a little soft so make sure to tap off the excess before applying. They do blend beautifully on the eyes. I haven't tried applying these damp but I know that they'd really pop considering the shimmery finish.
I decided to create a really fun, dramatic look that I wore to the Bruno Mars concert in Atlanta.
To go with the deep dramatic eyes, I paired Violet Voss' glitter in Paige using their Secret Weapon Glitter Adhesive. I also used Mein Heir Stained Gloss from OCC for a perfect nude lip that wouldn't battle with the dark eyes.
Hope you all enjoyed! Up next I have a review and tutorial on Sugarpill's ElektroCute collection, stay tuned!
