Hi Bellas,
It's that time again, monthly favorites! I will say, i've been on a roll for getting these up on my time, pat on the back! LOL. This month I'm showing you the products that really stood out to me as well as a few that weren't so great. Check it out!
Alcone at Home - RCMA foundation and Dermacolor Concealer
I've been using these foundations and concealer non-stop over the last two months. I have fallen in love with how great they look in person and especially on camera. The foundation is buildable, gives flawless coverage but in the sense that you just look like you have amazing skin. These foundations and concealers also conveniently come in steel pans for your magnetic palettes, how convenient right! I'm all for saving room and putting things in palettes so that you actually use them.
Origins Hydrating Mask
I received this as part of a gift from a co-worker. Can you believe I've never tried Origins before? It was a little pricey for me but wow I'm sold! I have dry skin and have lots of issues with flakiness and tightness during the day. This is a moisturizing cream that you use at night but I use it day or night. It really moisturizes and smells amazing - it's probably among the best moisturizers i've ever used.
Mink Lashes - Velour Lashes and Vixen by Kimber Lashes
I've been obsessed with Mink Lashes lately. You've seen them in all of my FOTDs and Tutorials. At first I wasn't sure if it was worth the money but I absolutely love the way they look on. They really step your makeup game up and the styles are different than typical false lashes...more fuller and luxurious, love!
Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Deep
I've heard a lot about this product over the years. When it went from the spray can to the lotion tube packaging I definitely wanted to try it because I heard it's less messy. Wow, this really works! It doesn't budge or get on your sheets and I even had remnants on after I showered lol. I have a lot of random scars on my legs from my clumsy self and this really made my legs look tan and perfect.
Sugar Pill Cold Chemistry Palette
This was love at first sight. From the amazing packaging, to the super pigmented shadows it's a win. If you want color impact, Sugar Pill is your brand. They never disappoint. I love that these are super vibrant but in a more jewel-toned subdued way, perfect for the fall.
OCC Lip Tars - Moderncraft Collection
I am so impressed with this collection of lip tars for Fall 2013. There is a really modern, yet wearable mix of tones. I love the metallic finishes along with the sheer glazes. There really is something for everybody in this collection.
Not So Favorites
Kiss Eyelash Glue
I'm always on the hunt for a new lash glue. This one intrigued me because it came with the wand applicator that I like and it's also in a nice, mini glass tube. I like the packaging but the product isn't that good - the glue doesn't dry quickly and the lashes don't stick. It's okay for quick lash application for a tutorial but I wouldn't use it for going out.
Ofra Cosmetics Highlighter
This product is intended to be a cheek highlighter. It comes off as a highly reflected pink shimmer. To be honest, I don't like it for the cheeks, the pink is a little too strong for my taste. I think it's much better paired on top of eyeshadows or other pigments to totally change the look to an amazing pink duo chrome quality.
Vidal Sassoon Heat Protectant
I bought this heat protectant because I ran out of my good old Tresemme and wanted to try something new. Bottom line, I don't like it. It smells too much like alcohol and the spritz bottle concentrates too much product on one area, soaking my hair. I'll finish it but i'm not repurchasing it.
I hope you guys enjoyed my favorites and not so favorites for the month. If you have any that you want to share, please let me know in the comments below!
