Happy Monday! Last week was super busy for me and today i'm going to show you why. In college, along with 11 other ladies, I helped to establish a chapter of my sorority at my University. Ten years later, i'm still involved. After a few years of having no presence on campus, 8 lovely ladies helped to reestablish the chapter at my alma mater, and this called for a celebration! Over the last week, we spent several long nights into the early morning practicing for their coming out show and you know I had to do a special makeover for the ladies. Check it out!
My sorority is Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority Incorporated. My chapter has a very diverse membership of over 20 cultures, which is one of the reasons why I joined. Our sorority colors are burgundy and gray and my chapter is known as the Glamorous Gamma Nu. So you know I had to pull out the brushes and paint some faces!
I only had 2 hours to makeover 8 girls, yikes! I kept it simple with a silver smokey eye and burgundy lips. On the eyes I used MAC Platinum pigment. It has a highly metallic finish and is super pigmented - this means fast application without having to pack on color. It also really stands out at night and the show was being performed outside with low light.
Fortunately I have tons of dark lippes from the fall when vampy lips were in. I lined lips with a dark wine colored pencil - Black Opal's Plumberry. Then I filled in the lips with MAC Diva Lipstick.
When you have a dark lip you have to add color to the skin. I made sure to bronze/contour with my MAC Sculpting Powders and added Kevyn Aucoin Neolita blush to give color to the cheeks.
Here are some pics of the girls:
Hope you guys enjoyed and got a personal look into my social life outside of my blog. Till next time, Ciao Bellas!
