Prom Makeup Tutorial - All Drugstore Products!

Hi Bellas,

I'm excited to finally upload this tutorial.  I wanted to wait for prom season and here we are!  This is my first prom tutorial and I wanted to use all drugstore products to make it affordable.  This is a glam smokey eye that would look good with any skin tone and any dress color. I also show you the Scott Barnes foundation method, something new!  Check it out!
Check out the video!
I made it super detailed because I really wanted to teach my younger audience how to do their makeup in time for Prom.

Here are the products I used!
For the eyes, you can pretty much use any silver, dark purple, and champagne colors.  I found two drugstore quads that work - the L'Oreal Colour Riche Smokey Eyes Palette and Revlon Photoready Renaissance Palette.
The first product I used was L'Oreal Decrease Eyeshadow Primer.  I also used Wet N Wild Gel Liner, a Prestige Brow Pencil, and Maybelline the Rocket Volume Mascara.  To give the look some glam I used Ardell Double Up Lashes and Revlon Lash Adhesive.
For the face, I primed with Maybelline Age Rewind Face Primer then used Physician's Formula Yellow Concealer as a highlighter base with Revlon Lumi Foundation in W6 on top.  I further highlighted with L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer in Medium and set it all with Neutrogena Shine Control powder.  From there, I used Milani XL Bronzer in 02 Fake Tan and a pink blush by Jane.

For lips, I gave two options:  A Bright Hot Pink and a Nude Option.  You can use whatever lippy you like in this look since it's a pretty standard neutral smokey eye.
The Final Look!

With bright lips!
I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial.  If you are attending Prom this year or even doing the makeup for someone attending, please send me your pics!

FTC Disclosure:  Post not sponsored.  I purchased most of these items with the intention of filming this tutorial.

  2. Great job on putting together a very detailed tutorial that can be followed by 1st times as well as experts!! I'm doing my niece's makeup for prom...we're actually doing a trial this saturday since I'm a novice and want to be sure to do her justice. I think this is the template we're going to rock with provided she approves. her dress is gold and silver. Peace and Blessings. Shani
