It's time for my January Favorites! I've got a bunch of great products to show you and many of them are from the drugstore. Check it out!
Check out the video!
Clarisonic Aria and Gel Cleanser
My skin has never felt cleaner! The Gel cleanser is very gentle too. I feel like my skin also looks smoother and brighter. I definitely feel pumped that if I can continue to use this I will be more proactive in maintaining good skin and help the anti-aging process.
John Frieda Root Lift
I've had this product for seriously 2 years before I really used it. It's a mousse that I apply to my roots after washing my hair and prior to blow drying. I find that it gives really nice volume without weighing my hair down...great for giving your hair a little oomph even where you where it straight and natural.
Maybelline Baby Lips
So I've heard tons on this product and finally tried out the clear/peppermint version. I'm impressed! I love the silky, slippery texture of the lip balm and it really does moisturize well. I like using it before I start my makeup so that the product absorbs and my lips are prepped for color.
Neutrogena Oil Control Powder
I definitely didn't think this would make my favorites since it's an oil control product and I have dry skin. But it comes in handy! I use it to set my face so my skin doesn't look shiny on camera and it looks really nice combined with ben nye banana powder for an undereye highlight.
L'Oreal Lumi Foundation in W6
I was super surprised that I finally found a drugstore foundation that's a really great match! It looks really nice and dewy on the skin. I'll definitely be doing a demo on it.
Oil of Olay Silk Whimsy Body Lotion
This lotion smells heavenly! My boyfriend's sister gifted this to me and I love it. Oil of Olay body lotions also sink really nicely into the skin. Thumbs up!
Milani Face Powder in Tan
I really am impressed with this drugstore powder. It has a nice warm tone, isn't powdery or cakey and can apply light to full coverage. It really looks nice on the skin. I think I might get a lighter shade however, and save Tan for the summer.
Maybelline Colorsensationnel Gloss
This gloss packs some color! I was surprised how pigmented it is. It's not sticky and feels nice on the lips. I'll definitely be going back for more.
Pitch Perfect
I am obsessed with this movie! It's super funny and the music is superb. Even my boyfriend enjoyed it. I rented it on Netflix and has definitely become an all time favorite.
Not So Favorites
Cala Nail Strips
I think I randomly picked up this brand at the beauty supply store. The design is cute, but it started to mush up on my fingers after 2 days. Literally, the strips starting getting mushy. I don't think the formulation works and there are plenty of other nail polish strips that work far better.
Ardell Double Up Lashes
I really had high hopes for this product. I often like to double up my lashes on my own and thought this was a great idea. However, I've tried different styles of the double up lashes and they all look wonky on my eyes...very unnatural. I think i'll just continue the manual double up process on my own.
Maybelline Fit Me Blush
Eek this blush is so chalky. Thumbs down.
That's all for now, till next time Ciao Bellas!
