Hi Bellas,
I'm back with another post! I recently had the chance to test out some $10 palettes from Stila. That's right $10 and it includes 4 full size shadows and a convertible cheek/lip color. You can actually find them at Nordstrom Rack. I reviewed three different palettes, check it out!
Onto the first palette!
The Majestic on Michigan Avenue is perfect for spring. The combo of pinks and plums gives a soft, feminine look. The convertible color is also nice and rosey and looks great on the cheeks and lips. These colors would look great from paler to darker skin tones.
You can see that they swatch beautifully.
I actually did a really nude look with this palette - but the colors are definitely buildable.
The next palette, Ravishing on Rodeo Drive, is packed with color! This is definitely a summer palette.
I love rocking a combination of metallics with a pop of blue on the lower lashline - it's a popular combo to rock since it helps neutral lovers rock bright colors subtley.
The peach tone didn't really show up well for me when swatched but on top of a lighter base it could work. Unfortunately I didn't capture myself rocking this look .
This palette differs from Majestic on Michigan Avenue because it has more pinks where the former has more purples.
I found it a little more difficult to work with on my tan skin so I'd say it's best for light to medium skin tones. If you want more punch, try pairing the shadows with a colored base. I also found difficulty using this convertible color - it's a gorgeous shade, but I found it moved on my lips too much. I had to top it with a gloss.
These palettes are really cute and are a great price at $10. It's a really nice way to try out the brand. The palettes are also conveniently packaged - the size of about two post-it's stacked on top of each other - so they're great for travel.
You can find these palettes at Nordstrom Rack.
