Client Makeup Lesson - Natural Foundation

Hi Bellas,

I recently taught a makeup lesson and was able to capture some pictures and some tips which may help some of you out there.  In particular, I show you how to create a natural foundation look and how to have fun with color.

My client had a lot of the great tools but wanted to learn how to use them correctly.  Her concern was applying foundation without it looking cakey.

My tips are to use concealer to treat the problem areas first.  Next, use a damp duo fiber foundation brush (MAC 187) sprayed with a bit of water or MAC Fix Plus.  Apply foundation sparingly, only to even out skin tone.  The concealer should have taken care of the blemishes.  You'll get lighter coverage this way but still correct the problem areas.  Set with powder only wear you need it.  A bit of bronzer and blush will add life back to the skin without it looking cakey.

Since we went natural on the face, we had fun on the eyes.  Purples have color but are still wearable.  On her eyes I used the fun colors but kept them low on the lid so that it would still be on the subtle side.
