I'm back with another post! I had an amazing opportunity to work with Celebrity Photographer Derek Blanks last year. He's shot the likes of Fifty Cent, Nicki Minaj, and recently he shot the promo ads for BET's the Game. You may recognize him from some of his amazing Alter Ego Photoshoots where celebrities get to split personalities - there was footage of his shoots when he worked with the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

First off, a shot of my working area in the studio. Luckily, there was a large counter set-up for makeup. The drawers are from my Yazmo traincase. You can just remove them and set them up on the counter you're working on. Super convenient. If you buy from www.Yazmo.com use code renren for a discount.
For the first look, we wanted to go for vintage glam - think Billy Holiday or Eva Gardner. I went for neutral eyes, clear skin and a deep red lip.
I even added a mole for emphasis.
The client first had on a gorgeous black ball gown. Later she changed into this white Marilyn Monrow-esque dress. Check out the fan action!
For look #2, we went for punk rock. Glossy black lips and a hot pink and black smokey eye.
See the other person in the shot? That's the stand in. Later, Derek will edit this person out and put Kim back in.
