I'm back with another look! Today I'm featuring makeup I did on my friend Melissa aka Mascara Melissa for New Years. We wanted to do something fun and edgy to go with her sexy cheetah print dress and Beyonce inspired hair.

When I think of leopard dress, I automatically think red lips. Melissa has never really done red before so I decided on doing a gloss to make it more wearable. She also knew she wanted to do something dark and sultry. I found this gorgeous bronzey loose mineral shade from Afterglow Cosmetics. It's been sitting in my pigment drawer forever and I was glad to break it out for this look. I knew a bronzey smokey eye would go fabulously with her look. Side Note - I reviewed Afterglow almost 2 years ago and just recently i've fallen in love with their mineral eyeshadows again. It's nice to rediscover an old product.
So guess what? We didn't go with red lips! Melissa ended up going for a hot pink nail polish when we got our nails done the day before. We thought red would clash so instead we went for a magenta lip instead. I used one of my lipglasses from the MAC Dare to Wear collection. The gloss is gorgeous - in person you really see the magenta shimmer.
For her face I used the Cover FX Big Cover Kit in B & M. Not only is it great for foundation, the darker and light shades also allow you to contour and highlight. That's what gives you that celebrity sculpted look. After that I just use the loose powder to set and that's it. Loves it! Review to come!
Here's the look! I don't think the camera captured the makeup that well, in person she was stunning!
