I'm back with pics from another bridal trial. I hope these posts are helpful to you out there. Whether you're a future bride, an aspiring makeup artist, or you just enjoy a good before and after. My bride actually wanted two looks...a more neutral ceremony look and something more fun for the evening.

This bride was super easy going. She had a bad experience with makeup for engagement pictures and knew that she what she definitely didn't want - thick, cakey foundation and dark lips. According to many of my younger Indian brides, it's difficult to find an artist in their community who can help create a traditional Indian Bridal makeup look but with a modern twist.
When dealing with the skin, the key is to only correct what's necessary. The bride had great skin so she honestly didn't need too much foundation. I used corrector to neutralize her dark undereye circles and it made a huge difference. After that, a sheer layer of foundation evened everything out.
Before
I placed the emphasis on her eyes and gave her a medium toned lip as a compromise. For the first look we decided to do a twist on the traditional coppery red look and instead went with pinks, plums and burgundies. I used my much loved MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad for this look.
For the evening, we went with a fun gold and teal eye to match her reception outfits - yes that is plural lol. We used Stars Makeup Haven Cougar on the inner 1/3, and MAC Aquadisiac and Talent Pool to add color to the lid, and I used MAC Typographic to smoke it out - instead of black, it's a soot color which adds more subtle smokiness.
I wanted to emphasize the eyes but make it comfortable for the bride...as a result, I didn't go to heavy on the color, worked on blending out the lines, and only took liner on the bottom half-way in.
I also took some great shots of her at the wedding. Can't wait to show you soon! Till next time, Ciao Bellas!
