Eyeko Polishes & Graffiti Eyeliner Review

I'm finally back from IMATS LA (International Makeup Artist Trade Show).  Wow!  What an amazing experience.  Besides my massive makeup haul, the best part was really getting to know my fellow gurus and subbies, yay!  I'm also dealing with some personal issues right now which might prevent me from filming in the next week or so, so I'll be uploading some reviews I've planned for a while now.  I try to keep this blog on the professional side so if you want to stay up to date on everything going on with me, follow me on twitter.  On to the review!

Many of you may be super familiar with the super cute Asian Cosmetics Brand Eyeko.  It means love in Japanese, and I had the chance to recently test out some of their products.  I've seen their stuff around and always thought it was just adorable.

First off, I was sent 3 nail polishes to try.  Even though I don't do fancy polish tutorials, I still love to try out new colors.  Eyeko has recently come out with a new line of 9 shades which are super hot right now.  Each bottle has its own unique packaging.

I tried out three of their shades:

Eyeko Coral Polish
"Dreaming of Ipanema beach? This flattering coral bright will get your toes resort-ready. " This is a super bright color that's perfect to show off a nice summer tan.

Eyeko Vampira Polish
"Dare to wear this lust-worthy glossy black lacquer dripping with blood red shimmer."
I'd probably rock this one more in the fall, but it's definitely a wearable shade.  The red shimmers help make the typical black polish a little more glamorous.

Eyeko Posh Polish
"For ladylike nails this chic taupe shade wins hands down."
This is my favorite shade of the three I tried.  The color is super chic...and I just feel cool wearing it :)

Overall:
I was happy to see that these shades were very opaque so you only need about two coats to get a nice amount of color.  I wore three colors at once to test them out for a few days.  No top coat, base coat...just a quick swatch to see how they held up.  I was suprised because they went a few days without chipping.  This week I've been rocking Posh Polish.  It's about 4 days in and I only have minimal chipping on one nail.  The packaging is really cute.  The bottles are on the small side though...but I actually like that since I can try more colors without taking up too much room in my nail polish storage area.  I never go through a whole bottle of polish.  


Pricing:  Each 8.5ml polish retails for 3.5 pounds, which is about $5.05 in US dollars.  Very affordable!


Note:  I actually really wanted to try out the Vintage (jade) and Lilac polish because those colors are so in right now!  I ordered the special Cult Classics set for only 11.2 pounds or $16.15 for 5 shades!  You know a product is good when as a reviewer, you actually go back and buy it for yourself.


The last product I tried out is the Graffiti artliner pen.  Now, I don't want to stereotype, but Asian Brand Cosmetics do not play when it comes to eyeliner pens...they are always amazing!  The Eyeko Graffiti eyeliner did not fall short.

First off, the applicator is great.  It's like a stiff felt point.  I've tried other felt point eyeliners...MAC Penultimate, Jordana...and this one is the best!  It's really stiff so you get a lot of control and precision.  If you have a hard time getting that perfect cat-eye, this will definitely help you out.  I also wore it all day on a trip to the outlets...then after falling asleep for 3 hours because of heat exhaustion, I woke up about 12 hours later and it was perfectly intact.  I tried out the black, which is always a must have, but I really want to try out the other shades too.


It retails for 5 pounds or $7.21 and I definitely recommend!
