Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Review & Giveaway

Hi Bellas,

I had the opportunity to try out a brand new line from the UK.  Jelly Pong Pong is definitely not your average makeup line...the packaging and design is super cute and eclectic.  The items I tested out have a garden chic theme and i've never seen anything like them.

The product philosophy embodies the eccentricity, individuality and a little whimsical romance - just look at the name of the company!  Each product is developed in Italy...you won't find these wholesaled and sold by the ton like other stock pile companies.

I had two sets to review:  Lash & Extension Set plus Lip Orchid in  and Shadow Taffy plus Lip Orchid
Each set retails for 23 pounds.  This is a UK brand but they retail in the US, Europe, and Asia.  Check out the site for specific retail locations, or order online.

Lip Orchids
The packaging is just too darling.  The flowers are glued onto the screw top lid.  Each flower is actually the same color as the product inside.  The product itself is similar to a tinted MAC lip conditioner.  If you missed out on the Hello Kitty Pink Fish lip conditioner, petal pink is an awesome dupe!  Lip Orchid in Bouquet is flattering orangey/coral shade.  The lip orchid applies smoothly with a sheer to buildable amount of color.  It's made with aloe vera and Vitamin E to moisturize lips and diminish fine lines.  It has a fruity/floral scent.  How cute would these look on your vanity?

Mascara & Lash Extension Set

Again, super cute girly packaging.  This set comes with a pair of lashes and a mini mascara.  It doesn't come with lash glue, but I rarely use the glue that comes with lashes.  I prefer my Duo Lash Adhesive in Dark.  The lash itself is made of synthetic fibers. 

When applied correctly, it looks really cute on!  I wore this in my Purple Smokey Date Night look.  However, since it's synthetic, it's a little harder to apply.  I recommend flexing the lash band into a concave shape to make it fit your lid...then gluing a little bit extra onto the outer corners to make sure it stays.

Shadow Taffy
To me, this is the cutest packaging of them all.  The shadow taffy is housed in a mini bird cage with see through packaging.  The jar itself houses a little bird.  Mine fell off in the packaging, but look how cute it looks in the picture!  This melted down shadow is perfect as a cream shadow.  I prefer to use it as a base and then set with eyeshadows.  The colors offered - pink and bronze, will look great on everyone.  I also used this on my cheeks and it looked great.

-original and innovative product theme and design

CONS-some of the cute packaging add-ons, i.e. bird, flower, might get in the way when you're actually trying to use the product, i.e. unscrew lids
-the lashes tended to lift up at the ends, they're synthetic so they're a little hard to work with
