Hi Bellas,
So you might have seen my last couple of videos featuring a look inspired by Raven from Ru Paul's Drag Race. Sorry if you're sick of the videos already but I wanted to make sure to give Raven her time and dedicate a complete post to her :) She rocked a flawless pin-up look on the 3rd episode with a Country Western theme. Of course, I was inspired to recreate her look. Unfortunately, I don't have LOGO on my cable package, so I catch the re-runs on VH1.
Here is a video still that I got off the Logo Site. Unfortunately, it's hard to get pictures of their looks...I can't find them anywhere offline. So I pretty much have to do it off of memory. Here is my inspiration:
Looking back at the picture, I definitely could have gone a lot smokier on the eyes. Ah well! This was how I had remembered it. Next time I do a look from the next episode, I'll go online to study the video stills before I recreate the look, lol. I totally wish I had a cute blond wig to pull off the complete package but those things can get expensive!
I did a two part tutorial on recreating this look and I condensed them into this one post to make it easier for you all.
Tutorial: Part 1 Foundation, Highlight and Contour
Tutorial: Part 2 Eyes and Lips
For this look, I used my inexpensive palettes from www.SedonaLace.com...you might also find these on other sites as well as Ebay. This goes to show you that you can create a great look from affordable products! Priming and application play a huge part in making inexpensive makeup work.
Here's the final look! Not too out there for a drag look in my opinion, and you can definitely tone this down and make it wearable.
Here's What I Used:
MAC lingering brow pencil
Light concealer from 10 pan concealer palette as eyeshadow base
120 Eyeshadow palette - white, light yellow, black, dark brown, warm brown
