Hi Bellas!
Happy Monday! Another busy weekend...almost didn't think I was going to make it, lol. But a few monsters and red bulls got me through. This weekend I also tried out my new starflash eyeshadows and pro longwear lipgloss duos and so far so good! I'll do a more thorough review on them later.
About 2 weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a shoot with a model named Hannah. She recently moved to Atlanta to further her modeling career. I actually met her at my makeup artist group meeting. We wanted something a bit different...after looking at her portfolio and mine, we wanted to go for something a bit more couture and high fashion. If you look at Fashion Magazines, a popular makeup look is dark eyes and lips. I wanted to mimic this on Hannah. I only used two eyeshadows on her...carbon and rice paper. On her lips I used a mix of a dark brown and deep burgundy red lipstick (sin lipstick). After that, I did some heavy contouring to give her a very sculpted and defined look.
The pictures came out fab. I absolutely loved her new hair...it definitely added to the edgy vibe. And I will say, the girl had her model poses down!
Here's What I Used (All MAC unless specified):
FACE
-Smashbox photofinish primer
-Cinema secrets foundation
-Graftobion dual foundation powder
-definitive sculpting powder
-housewine blush
EYES
-spiked eyebrow pencil and embark e/s for brows
-carbon e/s
-rice paper e/s
-kohl pencil in smolder
-Two Faced eyeshadow insurance
-Red Cherry lashes
-L'oreal voluminous mascara
LIPS
-chesnut lip pencil
-all grown up lipstick from the mattene collection
-sin lipstick
On a random note, I wanted to put up swatches for my girl SilverLips. I didn't forget! Here are swatches of two MAC pro lipsticks: the burgundy one is called Sin and the red is Lady Danger.
