A few weeks ago I was able to do a photoshoot...remember the "sneak peak into a photshoot" you tube video? These are some pictures from that shoot. The theme was rock/hip hop. A lot of people don't often realize that men also need makeup for professional photoshoots. It helps to conceal any blemishes and give a more polished picture. For the model Nick, I worked on evening out his skin tone, particularly to cover up his undereye circles. I also filled in his eyebrows, and gave him a smudged black eyeliner look. I gave him just enough so he would seem edgy yet still emit a manly essence.
Here's what I used:
FACE
-monistat anti-chafing relief gel
-cinema secrets foundation
-graftobian powder
-elf bronzer
LIPS
-chapstick
EYES
-ELF clear mascara
-eye kohl in smolder
-carbon e/s
-blond/ash eyebrow pencil
And of course, a before and after. You have to admit, he look so much cooler with makeup! ;)

I am SO glad you posted that! Yesterday I was talking to some possible models and I had some guys on the list and my sister looked at me like I was crazy. I was like no, guys need make up too! Diverse portfolio!I'mma show her this post lol

awesome job! i did a similar hip hop rock themed guy. not as many pics and a girl prop, but the guy wanted some makeup. i'll have to show you. are you on model mayhem?
oh and i asked my dad if i could try makeup on him as 'an average joe' and not model lol

you are so talented! great job! i agree that a lot of people forget that men in the industry also need makeup. the other day, i saw a guy at cinema secrets looking for some concealer. i didn't recognize who he was, but i'm thinking he was an actor or something. he wasn't tall enough to look like a model. :D

That's awesome! It's my dream to do what you do one day. It must be exciting to meet new people and make them look and feel good. Nick definitely looks cooler in the after pic :)
